In response to the AI revolution that is altering the world, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani stated at the company’s annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday that Jio Platforms will take the lead in building India-specific AI models and AI-powered solutions across domains. He explained how AI is expanding quickly and how it affects practically every industry. To incorporate the widespread developments in AI, particularly generative AI, the organization is trying to enhance its skill pool. Jio Platforms will build 2000MW of AI-ready computing capacity across Edge and Cloud sites, he continued.

Ambani also disclosed at the AGM 2023 that Jio AirFibre would be released next month on the auspicious date of Ganesh Chaturthi. Additionally, the telecom provider revealed the JioBharat V2, a 4G phone that supports UPI payments. As 25 crore people in India are still using 2G, it aims to make it possible for citizens to receive direct benefit transfers.
