Joe Biden – The US President has received the COVID-19 vaccine booster. The shot was offered in the White House to the president on Monday afternoon. 

Biden was the third one to get the Pfizer dose after the doses of booster were being approved by the officials of Federal Health.

In a remark, Bide offered a remark where he said, “We know that to beat this pandemic and to save lives, to keep our children safe, our schools open, our economy going, we need to get folks vaccinated.” he also continued, “So, please, please do the right thing. Please get these shots. It can save your life and it can save the lives of those around you.”

The US President has already received the first two doses of the covid vaccine in January ahead of the inauguration. He joked about how he is “way over” 65 years of age was categorised within the eligible age for the shot. He also confirmed that there were no side effects after getting the first or the second dose of Covid-19. 

In a statement that he made in the White House, he said that “If you fall under these categories, you’re eligible for the booster. Now, I know it doesn’t look like it, but I am over 65 — I wish I — way over. And that’s why I’m getting my booster shot today.”

He also said, “Boosters are important, but the most important thing we need to do is get more people vaccinated.” he added, “The vast majority of Americans are doing the right thing. Over 77 percent of adults have gotten at least one shot. About 23 percent haven’t gotten any shots, and that — that distinct minority is causing an awful lot of us an awful lot of damage for the rest of the country.”

“This is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. That’s why I’m moving forward with vaccination requirements wherever I can.” 

Almost 25% of the total number of eligible Americans who are in the age 13 and older than that have still not received any dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. The virus has infected 23.23 crore people and has resulted in the death of 47.56 lakh since December 2019 as studied by Johns Hopkins University. 

A polio survivor, McConnell, “Like I’ve been saying for months, these safe and effective vaccines are the way to defend ourselves and our families from this terrible virus.”
