On Thursday, India reported its highest single-day death toll from COVID-19 in the world, at 6,148, after a big eastern Indian State revised its figures to take into account all those people who had succumbed to the disease from their home or in different private hospitals.
On Wednesday, the health department of one of India’s poorest states, Bihar, revised its total COVID-19 related death toll, only for the numbers to increase significantly, from around 5,400 to more than 9,400.
A total of 5,444 Covid-19 related deaths has been recorded in the United States on the 12th of February.
The total caseloads in India stand at 9.2 million after rising by 94,052 in the past 24 hours. The number of total fatalities is 359,676, as is recorded by the health ministry.
