Feel healthier and breathe better when the ocean and water are blue. Escape gravity and let yourself get carried away by the aquatic world’s magnificence. The land has had enough!

This time, stay off the roads and go underwater. The Goa party has moved on without us. The gorgeous azure waters of the Andaman and Lakshadweep islands appeal for a dip in the upcoming season. We’re discussing scuba diving, as you probably have guessed. The best places for scuba diving in India have opened up an entirely new underwater realm.

In Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara, scuba diving was appropriately romanticized. With its serene underwater environments, vibrant marine life, and soul-surfing experience, scuba takes you to a new world. SCUBA, or Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, is an exciting, once-in-a-lifetime experience for swimming underwater. Swimmers no longer bother non-swimmers. For scuba diving, swimming competence is not necessary!

We have gathered the most significant locations in India for the best places to scuba dive. The locations are:

Andaman

Scuba diving in Andaman is perfect due to the Bay of Bengal’s abundant marine life. Andaman is the most excellent location for scuba diving in India because of the amazing corals and pristine coral reefs that give an ideal atmosphere for this enjoyable pastime. Turtles, moray eels, manta rays, trevally, and batfish might be present during your voyage.

Best Period: November to April. You should go deep in the morning to acquire an experience worth every dime.

INR 4,000 for each dive.

Lakshadweep

One of India’s top destinations for scuba diving. A paradise of 36 islands, Lakshadweep is home to sun-kissed beaches and lush vegetation. Sharks, colourful fish, and turtles can all be found in the blue lagoon’s marine life. A well-liked diving location is Princess Royal Bantam. The best way to decompress from your busy schedule is to visit India’s smallest Union Territory. Scuba diving is a major attraction.

A wide variety of marine plants and fauna call the crystal-clear, unpolluted ocean home. In Lakshadweep, scuba diving is both exciting and risky. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see manta rays in the emerald-coloured lagoons and bays.

Optimal Period: October to April. Try to visit between December and April for the most pleasing scuba diving experience.

Cost – INR 4,000 – 6,000 per dive.

Pondicherry

The only place in India where scuba diving is possible is in Pondicherry, located in the east. On the eastern coast of India, Pondicherry is the only diving location. The region is noted for its numerous marine species, including jackfish, sea snakes, manta rays, and fan corals, as well as its natural coral reefs, rocky pop-ups, and artificial ridges.

It is regarded as one of India’s top scuba diving spots and an excellent place for both novices and the experienced. You shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to go scuba diving in Pondicherry. Unusual aquatic animals, stunning fish, and intriguing aquatic creatures are all included in this collection.

Few brave people know that Dwarka is one of the best spots for scuba diving, even though it is well known as Lord Krishna’s home. This area, which has recently become a scuba diving destination, offers divers the chance to see a unique marine ecosystem.

Marine animals, including dolphins, whale sharks, and turtles, may be observed underwater due to their exceptional visibility.

New diving sites and marine environments are being discovered there at an accelerated rate. The beauty and diversity of life beneath the water are undeniable, even though only a few aquatic creatures are visible. Some of the marine life there is endangered.

With sunken shipwrecks that are now home to an abundance of marine life, Grand Island is the top scuba diving location.

Another spot suitable for beginners is Umma Gumma Reef.

Goa offers a beautiful blend of breathtaking scenery and exhilarating thrills. You will view tranquil scenes and intriguing aquatic life throughout the 15-minute scuba dive.
