There is a saying that true love cannot be bounded by anything and Padmavathi who is a resident of Nimmavanam village of Podili Mandal in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh is a living example of it. Padmavathi was married to Anki Reddy who passed away in a road accident four years ago. To honour his loving memories, Padmavathi built a temple in his name and started offering prayers to the marble idol shaped in the form of her husband.
Indian women are usually seen as devoted towards the man they married to, this is one of the things that Indian culture has shown us from time to time. Such of a case has emerged from Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh where a woman built a temple and now offers prayers to her late husband.
In an interview, Padmavathi, who hails from a conservative family told that she always saw her mother worshipping her father and when she got married to Anki, she saw her husband as a God-like figure. After Anki’s death, she was devastated and this temple is a medium to connect her with her Late husband in some manner.
As mentioned earlier, the temple is built in Nimmavanam village of Podili Mandal in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh and consist of an idol of Padmavathi’s husband, Anki Reddy. She offers prayers to this idol regularly and on special occasions, she performs pujas also. She also serves free food on the full moon of the month and every Saturday and Sunday.
Padmavathi told in an interview that her late husband appeared in her dream and asked her to build the temple and as Padmavathi, being a devoted wife, did the same to honour her husband’s wish.

In the viral video, she can be seen worshipping an idol of her husband and there are flower garlands on the neck of the idol. There are beautiful flowers can be seen strewn all around the idol.
The video is spreading all over the internet like fire. Netizens are showing interest and praising the woman’s love and devotion towards her husband. A YouTube user posted a comment saying, “Every family should do this, at least worship at home”.
