Kathmandu Connection will come back for a second season, according to SonyLIV. The second season of the original Kathmandu Connection will debut on December 23 on the streaming service operated by Sony Pictures Network.
Amit Sial, Gopal Datt, and Aksha Pardasany will co-star in the second season. Prashant Narayanan will also appear in the second season. He will be a new participant because he was absent on April 23, 2021, season one debut.
In an interview, Narayanan disclosed that he portrays a character named Wajid, who he believes is modeled on the mobster Dawood Ibrahim. Season one has several references to the character he is playing.
Narayanan continued by describing Dawood as a prominent guy who lived in Bombay (Mumbai) and only left the city after being humiliated. He claimed, “He [Dawood] has left; out of pure rage, he is preparing something against the country.
Sachin Pathak is the second season’s director, and Ajay G is in charge of production. The web series’ first season’s plot revolved around the terrible 1993 Bombay Bombings. According to the trailer for the second season, the plot of the show will center around the 1999 IC-814 hijack event.
