Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sikshak Parv 2021 on Tuesday, and during this time, he launched several initiatives. While addressing the program, PM Modi said: In the last 6-7 years, due to the power of public participation, such works have been done in India, which no one could have imagined. Earlier PM office informed that the theme of Sikshak Parv 2021 is Quality and Sustainable Schools: Learnings from Schools in India.
The Contribution of Teachers
During his speech, PM Narendra Modi also congratulated the teachers who won the national award. He said: “Many congratulations to the teachers who received the National Award. The sincere efforts made by all of you for education in the country in a difficult period for the future of the students is incomparable and commendable. Today many new initiatives have been started on the Sikshak Parv. These initiatives are also necessary because the country is currently celebrating the nectar festival of Independence. These initiatives that have been launched today will play a significant role in shaping the future of India.”
PM Modi further said, “During the coronavirus epidemic, we all have seen the capabilities of our education sector. There were a lot of challenges, but you solved all the challenges fast. Words like an online class, group video call, online exam – were not heard by many people before. Today, on the one hand, the country has an environment of change, but at the same time, there is also a modern and future policy like the new National Education Policy. Therefore, for some time now, the country is continuously taking new decisions one after the other in the education sector, a big change is being seen.”

Initiatives announced in the Sikshak Parv 2021
The initiatives that were launched in the event consist-Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, Vidyanjali portal for facilitating education volunteers, donors or CSR contributors for school development, NISHTHA teachers’ training programme for NIPUN Bharat, and Talking Books (audiobooks for the visually impaired).

While addressing, PM Modi said, “Today, new programs and arrangements like Vidyanjali 2.0, Nishtha 3.0, Talking Books and ULD Base ISL Dictionary have been launched. I am sure it will make our education system globally competitive.”
The event was also attended by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan and the other Union ministers of the state for education. PTI quoted before the event: “The inaugural conclave will be followed by webinars, discussions and presentations up to September 17, in which the educational practitioners from various schools of the country have been invited to share their experience, learnings and the roadmap ahead. It is noteworthy that teachers and practitioners from even remote schools will be speaking on issues relating to quality and innovation in school.”
