Already wound in a complex case of making and publishing pornographic videos online, the controversial businessman and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra seems to have suffered a blow on his already deteriorated reputation.
Raj Kundra’s ongoing controversy of having been involved in making and publishing adult content online has now been loaded with yet another trouble blow because of Sachin Joshi’s case filed against him. The actor, Sachin Joshi revealed that he was a victim of the con strategy Raj Kundra’s gold scheme had laid out. Sachin Joshi later filed a complaint where he alleged that he was sold a five-year gold plan of the Satyug Gold Scheme which promised a certain fixed amount of gold to be redeemable after a duration of five years. But when he recently wanted to redeem his gold and went to the place, he came to find out that the SGPL office was completely shut down. He later went on to check the online address but that turned out to be fake too.
The actor and entrepreneur, Sachin Joshi, won the above-filed case and has thus shared his views on the same to media reporters. The actor was tangled in a gold scheming case lead by Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, where almost around 1kg gold, nearly worth 3 lakhs, was given to the SGPL in possession on the basis of their scheme offered to customers.
This case also resulted in making the Kundra couple suffer a massive setback.
Sachin Joshi had blamed the couple for cheating him in a gold scheme fraud whereby he had made a heavy payment of rs. 18,57,870 on March 25, 2014, towards the gold scheme. Although later on, he was directed to pay a penalty fee of Rs. 25.50 lakhs to collect his gold after 6 years.
Sachin had filed a case against Raj Kundra and Satyug Gold saying that he was cheated by them. He filed a complaint on January 18th this year in Mumbai’s Khar Police Station under the IPC sections 406, 420, and 409.
Now, the Bombay High Court delivered its verdict while giving to Sachin Joshi his much-needed relief. Responding to the media after winning the case, Sachin said that he played the role of representing many common investors who invested in the gold scheme of Satyug Gold. He said many common people had invested in the scheme believing that the company had a celebrity couple as the directors and would therefore turn out to be trustworthy. “I am glad karma finally caught up with Kundra,” Sachin Joshi was heard saying.
Explaining the case’s intricacies to the media, Sachin shared that the case took a turn when the company was asked to hand over the wrongfully possessed gold, which they had purchased the gold from Anmol Jewellers and attached the bill which stands clear that there was no gold with Raj Kundra and Satyug Gold in the first place. He added that there can’t be any storage charges levied by the firm since there was no gold with them.
It is quite evident how controversies after controversies are keeping Raj Kundra in the news headlines in a bad light.
