Lady Gaga’s “Jazz & Piano” residency, has returned, post COVID-19 shut-down.
Germanotta says, “we have mixed cabaret and vintage Vegas for our new design. I close my eyes when I see reference photos and imagine my sister singing. Then I think about what jazz means to her and her way of moving all around the space of the stage. After that, I feel unrestrained, from start to finish.”

Adrian Manceras and Armani Privé, the Italian label’s couture branch, layered the Amador and Eerebout in the outfits. Amador says, “Styling for Gaga’s stage is very different. Eerebout further added, “we have to fill a large place, and we need to keep in mind that everyone in the theatre gets a full view of the fashion.” They further added that “Billie Holiday and Eartha Kitt were their specific references because they always looked fabulous. Their biggest inspirations were Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington.”

More is indeed more in jazz- it includes brassy horns, bawdy cheek, and belting vocals. Gaga is a seasoned and master performer, above all others. She works with the crowd, and she entertains her audience with stories and funny lines like “If you brought your kids here tonight,” and “you’re a fucking idiot.”
“Jazz & Piano” are very famous through Halloween this time around. Gaga is known for her anthemic pop, and most people know and praise her. Seeing her in this context, in a more classicist vein and is like a treat for all. Watching Gaga makes me want to listen to more jazz. It made me want to listen to more Gaga. And it made me want to go back to Las Vegas.
