The FRIENDS fan long wait is finally over. Featuring all six of the original cast, “Friends: The Reunion”, will be broadcast on May 27. This reunion should have been filmed over a year ago but was delayed because of the pandemic.
In the broadcast, apart from the six celebrities, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry, there will be other guests as well, such as the k-pop band BTS, Justin Beiber, and Lady Gaga.
According to HBO, more than 15 celebrities would also take part, including former “Friends” cast members Tom Selleck (Richard), and Maggie Wheeler (Janice) and others such as British soccer star David Beckham, “Game of Thrones” actor Kit Harington and Pakistan’s Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.
An unscripted version was filmed, earlier at the beginning of this year, featuring the six characters in their 20 something and still living in New York.
Twitter has since its announcement been flooded with tweets about this reunion, and as expected has reached the trending list. The character has themselves responded to this. Kudrow, on Instagram, said: “ The one with us finally getting together,”. Cox said she felt “blessed to have reunited with my friends… and it was better than ever.”
Friends is an American television sitcom, created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, which revolves around six friends in their 20s and 30s who live in Manhattan, New York City. The show ended in 2004 after a journey of 10 years. The show even after more than 10 years of stagnancy, still is one of the viewers all time favorites, which explains the huge deal the reunion is causing now,
