Crushing the age-old tradition of offline income tax filing, it’s time to make the most out of technology with the e-filling portal for income tax. Individuals can now file single or business category income ITR-s.
The Income Tax Department’s e-Filing portal facilities will be unavailable for six days in June, according to a warning provided by Income Tax India. Individuals who want to file their return in June must either prepare ahead or wait until after June 7 to do so, according to Income Tax India. The e-Filing platform will be unavailable from June 1 to 6, according to the IT agency.
“In preparation of this launch and for migration activities, the existing portal of the department at www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in would not be available for a brief period of six days from June 1 to 6,” the order said.
